Hand painting

Painted entirely by hand. The artist demonstrated to me how she painted things like mountains with the edge of her hand and details like the birds and trees with her fingernails. I bought this at the first Friendship store I went to, in Beijing with Philip and Mike Eng, and gave it to my parents. Unfortunately, the glass was cracked at some point in my suitcase, but it has since been repaired (for as much as the painting cost!). I believe the indecisiveness I displayed when purchasing this painting later inspired Philip's impersonation of me: "Hmm... let's see... what should I do? And now I'll spend the next 10 minutes thinking about it." Those who know me probably would agree that it is quite fitting...
