Awesome group from Taipei that I met in Jiufen. They saw me struggling to communicate with a shop vendor shortly after my (late) arrival and invited me to join them in exploring and dining. The girl on the right (Catrina, who went to school in San Francisco) even gave me a ride back to Taipei and took me to have some great food at a night market. This stop was a particular highlight for me, since I had wanted to try a teahouse but it just doesn't make sense for a single person.
