Tosokchon, described by Frommer's as "one of President Roh's favorites." Seems to be pretty well known, judging by how crowded it was (still no wait, because the place is very large... this is just one of many separate rooms that are split off from the main courtyard area) and the instant recognition from the girl I asked for directions (she spoke very good English, so I was originally just trying to show her the directions I had and see if she could point me the right way, but then she said "wait a second," flipped the page, and "oh, you're going to Tosokchon!"). You sit on the floor at long tables right with the other diners, cafeteria style. The service was very good, with the one exception that they did not refill our beverages (but we didn't ask either). On the plus side, the beverages included a small shot of what I believe was Korean rice wine (definitely alcohol, but didn't seem as strong as soju).

This was my favorite restaurant in Korea, both for the wonderful atmosphere and fantastic meal. The only problem was that we were in a hurry, so I did not have time to finish every last bite and sip of the meal...
